“ Delightful gem for anyone with a sweet tooth or simply seeking a satisfying bite. Their marzipan princess cake is a standout--light, fluffy, and perfectly accented by the subtle almond flavor. Good selection of baked goods, from buttery croissants and flaky danishes, cakes and cookies. If you're looking for more than sweets, I've had breakfast and lunch there grabbing a quick bite on a bike ride. ”

“ Wide affordable selection of cookies . We picked up an assortment to bring to an event and they were a hit, especially the Halloween seasonal shapes. The dinosaur ones were popular with the kids! We visited in the early AM, and the employee helping us out was patient as we chose our treats. We will be back! ”

“ Hoffman's is one of my favorite bakeries to get special occasion cakes from. They are best known for their PRINCESS TORTE CAKE which is a delectable white dome cake with rich Bavarian cream, raspberry jelly, and a marzipan covering. It is absolutely delicious and as an at-home baker, I've since made my own Princess Tortes at home. In addition to cakes, they also sell pastries, cookies, and coffee. I've tried many of their cakes over the years including the STRAWBERRY LEMONADE CAKE which was probably my second favorite cake from them (after the Princess Torte). It had sweet strawberry mousse and tangy lemon mousse, whipped cream frosting (because I'm not about cakes with buttercream), and white chocolate shavings. We also tried their COCONUT CAKE this past Mother's Day, but were disappointed by the lack of coconut flavor in both the cake and filling. The coconut flavor that was present also tasted artificial. As someone who enjoys haupia (coconut cream) desserts in Hawaii, this cake unfortunately missed the mark. For my most recent birthday, I decided to try the CARAMEL SWEET CREAM CAKE, which is basically their rendition of a tres leches (three milk) cake. Similar to the coconut cake though, we were disappointed by the lack of caramel and condensed milk flavors. It tasted like vanilla cake with vanilla cream filling and whipped cream- it just didn't have that burnt sugar flavor. The texture was perfect though- the cake layers were fluffy and the filling and icing was smooth. But if you hadn't told me it was tres leches, I would've figured this was just an ordinary vanilla cream cake. Tips: Hoffman's has a selection of cakes available every day including their white chocolate cheesecake, chocolate cake, carrot cake, and Princess torte. Some cakes, like the coconut cake, require 24-72 hours notice and must be preordered. They also have a rotating cake of the month (September was mocha and October is Peanut Butter & Chocolate) where you can get an 8" cake for a few dollars cheaper than their normal 8" cake. As far as atmosphere, they have a small indoor seating area, but I always take my cakes to go. Service is great both over the phone and in person and they have preordered cakes ready by morning of. TLDR; get the PRINCESS TORTE or the STRAWBERRY LEMONADE CAKE and skip the COCONUT CAKE and CARAMEL SWEET CREAM CAKE. Overall: 4/5 for cake, 5/5 for service, 3.5/5 for atmosphere ”

“ Their Princess cake and summer pineapple coconut cake are a must-try! Great place to stop by for an afternoon pick me-up. Not too sweet, perfectly moist, and captures the flavors of the cake. They usually have ample seating as well the times I've gone. Generally pretty quiet too. They have in house wifi, but it's limited to an hour so it's better suited for a quick drop-in as opposed to an afternoon work session. ”

“ If you haven't gone, you need to go. Period. I have tried other cake shops and their cakes were great looking, but tasted horrible. I have recommended Hoffman's to so many people and they are my go every time. Everyone knows if I get a cake for them, it's a Hoffman cake. It's now a tradition in our circle. They are friendly, have a great little shop with easy parking and they simply cannot be beat! ”

“ How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. As a lover of bakeries, Hoffman's stands out as my favorite. So much so that their princess Torte has become our family tradition for birthdays. They've become a part of my family and were treated as such when we come to pick up a cake (usually because I've forgotten until the final hour). The fact the I can roll in, grab a coffe and a cake with my kids name on it, then roll out one pastry richer? Priceless. ”

“ I think I tried enough items from Hoffman to give a well rounded review. The place is really good but there's better coffee and pastry places in this area. Coffee was good but I haven't found better coffee than soul coffee house in Redmond area. The coconut Macron was bit too sweet IMO. Other items were okay. Service is good - good folks and nice ambience. ”
